Halesite participates in 3rd Annual Christmas Parade

The Halesite Fire Department participated in the 3rd annual Holiday Parade in Huntington Village on Saturday night. The parade, organized by Huntington and Huntington Manor Fire Departments, brought thousands of people to the village to see floats created by local fire departments, businesses and scout troops.
Firefighters rode in department vehicles that were decorated in festive holiday lights. Halesite's main float featured Ex-Commissioner Larry Northcote as "Buddy the Elf" from the movie "Elf". He was seated on the very sleigh used in the actual movie and was joined by Sarah Apgar, dressed as "Jovi".
Walking alongside Halesite's float as elves were Kate Kuntz, Carolyn Corkett, Rick Oh, Liam Dreusike, Eric Ferber, Bob Cirillo, Evan Meyers, and Ryan Pavelka. Halesite's float and costumes were organized by Kate Kuntz.
