Winter Blood Drive 1/5/24

Start the New Year right by doing a good deed; donating a pint of blood can save up to 3 lives!

The Halesite Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the Long Island Blood Service early in the New Year as blood shortages are still at critical lows. Please join us FRIDAY January 5th 2024 from 3:30pm - 8:00pm, to donate blood.

All donors should park in the public lot at the rear of the firehouse.

Please visit our donation appointment scheduler to reserve your time slot now https://donate.nybc.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/310830 . Walk-ins will be accommodated when possible.

You must have your photo ID on you, and be prepared to spend about 30-45 minutes in the donation process.

DONORS PRESENTING:
-Must be 17 years of age or older (16 with parental consent), and weigh at least 110 pounds
-Must show valid photo identification
-Drink plenty of fluids before donating. Donors who only give platelets may not take aspirin, or products containing aspirin, for 48 hours prior to donating.
