Halesite Fire Department Visits Flower Hill Primary School

Members of the Halesite Fire Department met recently with local kindergarteners at the Flower Hill Primary School to review fire safety practices. Students were given the chance to sit inside the Class A Pumper and Ladder Truck provided by the Department. They were also able to try on actual firefighting jackets, gloves and helmets. Organized by Hook & Ladder Lieutenant Erik Weber, the event was part of the Department's Fire Prevention Month activities. Pictured at right, Lt. Weber discusses fire safety with local students.
