Family Service League Toy Drive a Huge Success

The Halesite Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary recently completed a toy drive on behalf of the Family Service League. Called "Project Toy", the Ladies Auxiliary promoted the drive at local businesses, the Department's annual Children's Holiday party, and online.

Approximately 150 toys were dropped off at the Halesite firehouse. The unwapped toys will be donated to families that reside in Huntington this holiday season. The idea to support Project Toy came from Ladies Auxiliary member Donna Grasso.

Pictured above among the collected toys are three members of Halesite Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, President Karen Wenk, former President Bonnie Sammis and Corresponding Secretary Meg McConnell.
