Free Wills for First Responders! |
The Firemen's Association of the State of NY (FASNY), together with law firm K&L Gates, and MetLife's Legal Department, will provide Pro-Bono wills and other estate planning services for Long Island's volunteer firefighters and first-responders on June 14, 2014.
The free "Working to Instill Life-Long Security" (W.I.L.L.S.) will-preparation event, in its sixth year, will provide health care proxies, wills and powers of attorney for New York volunteer firefighters and their spouses. The one-day event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Halesite Fire Department, 1 North New York Avenue, Huntington, NY 11743.
There are only 100 spaces available so register today by contacting MetLife's coordinator, Pat Curran, at pcurran@metlife.com or by phone at 212-578-7487. Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the event and will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
First responders are requested to complete a brief questionnaire before coming to their appointment. Click here to download a copy of the W.I.L.L.S. questionnaire. It can be taken with you on June 14th or sent to MetLife in advance of your meeting. It can also be e-mailed in advance to probono@metlife.com.
This is a completely free event for first responders; no solicitations will take place from any of the participants and all information shared will be kept confidential. Don't leave your final wishes to chance - get your free will done on June 14th!
