	The fire service can be challenging, as well as rewarding. I believe that no matter how long you are a member (and I have been a member since 1968), you can never say, "I have seen it all!" While many alarms are routine, eventually you use your training and skills to cope with a situation that you have not encountered before.

Halesite Members Attend Firehouse Expo in Baltimore

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Chief Andy Magerle led a contingent of five firefighters and officers to the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, MD this week. Over 1,000 firefighters from mainly the East Coast of the United States will gather at the Expo to participate in a combination of hands-on training and lectures. The topics span a wide array of subjects that help Halesite's firefighters hone their skills. The members that attend will bring back new techniques and strategies for discussion with the rest of the Department.
