Introduction |
Did you even wonder who are the men and women of the Halesite Volunteer Fire Department? Well just look around - you will see that they are actually your neighbors. Yes, they are your neighbors who have chosen to serve their community by volunteering as a member of the Halesite Fire Department
To join, you need no special training, only a desire to help others. The Halesite Volunteer Fire Department will provide you with specialized training, equipment, turnout gear, pager and instructions in their use. But most important, you will be a part of a dedicated group of professionals, who live in the Halesite community, and who have made a commitment to assure that the lives and property of the community are well protected.
If you are interested in joining, please download and complete a membership application and feel free to stop by the Halesite Volunteer Fire Department at 1 North New York Avenue to speak with a representative at any time, or contact us via our Request Information form and we will contact you.
You can join to ride the ambulance, be a firefighter, or both. No experience is necessary--we will train and equip you to provide these services. While your primary focus may be either rescue or firefigting, all members will be cross-trained to support each role.
