Halesite Respondes to Two MVA's in Five Days

Members of the Halesite Fire Department were called to two separate motor vehicle accidents this week that both required use of the "Jaws of Life" to gain access to victims.

The first accident involved a single vehicle that lost control on Youngs Hill Rd. during the major downpours on Sunday afternoon. Two female occupants were injured when their car lost control heading down Youngs Hill and crashed into a telephone pole. The driver and passenger were both transported to Huntington Hospital.

The second accident occured late this morning on East Main Street by Old Northport Rd. and involved a head-on collision of a van and an SUV. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Huntington Hospital. Below is a link to an article about the East Main Street accident on the Huntington Patch:
