Seven Halesite Members Complete Ladder Operations Course

The Halesite Fire Deparment is pleased to congratulate the following seven members who recently completed the Ladder Company Operations course given by the Suffolk County Fire Academy:

Joe Grant
Kevin Kelly
Kate Kuntz
Andy Magerle
Jamie Magerle
Dan McConnell
Bob Pavelka

The course consisted of both classroom and hands-on training and covered topics such as rescuing trapped victims, locating and confining the fire as well as ventilation and aerial ladder operations. Ladder Company Operations is one of many courses Halesite firefighters are eligible to take each year through Suffolk County to maintain and grow their skills.
