Halesite Expands Paramedic Coverage

The Halesite Fire Department is pleased to announce that it is expanding its paramedic coverage to include weekends.
Effective January 5, 2013, the Centerport Fire Department, through an agreement with Halesite, will provide a Paramedic to rescue alarms from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
According to Dan McConnell, Chief of Department, "I am grateful to the Fire Districts of Halesite and Centerport for expanding this very successful program and improving the rescue services provided to our community".
Halesite and Centerport Fire Departments have a long standing tradition of cooperation that dates back over 100 years. When Halesite was founded in 1901, it's first By-Laws were modeled around those in Centerport. Both fire departments have long since enjoyed a close partnership at alarms and in other firematic activies.
