Halesite Marches in the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade

Members of the Halesite Fire Department marched in the 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade last Sunday. For many of Halesite's newest members, this was their first parade. It was also the first parade where the members were led by Chief Dan McConnell.

In addition to marching in the parade, Halesite joined with the Huntington Fire Department in putting up a flag arch on Main Street using two ladder trucks. All parade goers marched under the arch en route to the reviewing stand. The crew that put up the flag arch were former Captain Bill Eletto and members Keith Freda and KC Anna.

Following the parade, Halesite's members and their families returned to the firehouse for its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner.
