As a member, I am impressed with the quality of training the district provides and as a resident of Halesite, I am grateful to have the fire house at the bottom of the hill always ready to answer ambulance and fire calls.

Eight Halesite Firefighters Receive Bail-Out Training

Eight members of the Halesite Fire Department participated in bail-out training at the Syosset Fire Department on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

Members were fitted with special bail-out harnesses as part of their training. Each member "bailed-out" of the second floor of the Syosset FD's training building ten times as part of their certification.
