The fire service can be challenging, as well as rewarding. I believe that no matter how long you are a member (and I have been a member since 1968), you can never say, "I have seen it all!" While many alarms are routine, eventually you use your training and skills to cope with a situation that you have not encountered before.

Halesite Fire Department's Annual Christmas Tree Sale a Success

The Halesite community turned out in larger numbers to support the Fire Department's annual Christmas Tree sale from December 11 - 13, 2009. Over 300 trees were sold during the very cold weekend plus hundreds of yards of roping and dozens of wreaths. The sale was organized by Ex-Chiefs Pete Wilbur and Don Danko.
