Car fire on Kanes Lane in Huntington Bay.
Halesite firefighters extinguish mid-day car fire in Huntington Bay.
22 Halesite firefighters turned out to handle a mid-day car fire nearby the Huntington Yacht Club.
The Halesite Fire Department responded to a working car fire on Kanes Lane today at approximately 1:40 pm. A total of 22 members from the department responded to the alarm under the command of Chief Dan McConnell and 2nd Assistant Chief Jamie Magerle. The fire was brought under control in several minutes. The vehicle's driver was able to safely evacuate and no injuries were reported.
