Halesite Fire Department Has Another Busy Year

(3/1/14) Sig. 24 13/35-The Huntington Fire Department called Halesite Fire Department along with many other Town of Huntington fire departments for mutual aid to a 2 story commercial fire in Huntington Village.

(6/23/14) Sig. 14-Kanes Ln. and East Shore Rd. Halesite responded to a fully involved car fire and quickly extinguished the blaze. There were no injuries

2014 proved to be another year of keeping our volunteers active. The Department responded to 651 total alarms, making 2014 our second busiest year on record behind 2012 in which members responded to 140 alarms in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

It was our busiest year ever for Rescue alarms; we responded to 400 of our community's calls for the ambulance.
