Peter Magerle, Jr. Continues Family Tradition and Joins Halesite

Peter is sworn in by Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners, Bob Kocis on 2/11/15

The Halesite Fire Department is pleased to announce that Peter C. Magerle was sworn in as a member last night. Pete joined Halesite's Hook & Ladder Company and is a 4th generation member of our organization. Pete's father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all members, as is his sister, Casey, who joined Halesite in early 2013.

Pete is a Senior at Huntington High School and is in the final stages of obtaining his Eagle Scout designation. His Eagle Scout project was the creation of a 9/11 Memorial at the Halesite Fire Department last Fall using a piece of steal obtained from the World Trade Center.
