Halesite Juniors Take Office

Chief McConnell swears in the newly appointed Officers at the start of their April meeting.

Halesite's Appointed Junior Officers.

On Monday April 13th, Chief McConnell swore in the new Officers of Halesite Fire Department's Junior Firefighter Program.

Halesite's Junior Firefighter Program was always envisioned to be run by the Juniors themselves with oversight by a Board of Advisors. This construct is intended to bring about the greatest growth and best experiences for the Juniors involved.

Over the past three months a concerted effort was undertaken to identify the initial slate of Officers. Specific activities were conducted to uncover who might be the best fit to fulfill the six Officer positions. The Juniors interested in becoming an Officer were asked to raise their hands and articulate their interest in one or more offices. Interviews were conducted of those who expressed interest.

The following Halesite Junior Firefighters will serve as Officers until the first election of Juniors in August, 2015:

Captain - Brady Anna

1st Lieutenant - Jack Toomey

2nd Lieutenant - James Willis

Secretary - Luke Giordano

Treasurer - Lukas Fleisig

Sergeant-at-Arms - Anthony McDonald
