	The fire service can be challenging, as well as rewarding. I believe that no matter how long you are a member (and I have been a member since 1968), you can never say, "I have seen it all!" While many alarms are routine, eventually you use your training and skills to cope with a situation that you have not encountered before.

Halesite to host New Member Recruitment Event 6/19/21

The Halesite Fire Department is recruiting a new squad of firefighters and EMS providers! We're inviting you, our neighbors, to join us for a morning of drills on Saturday June 19th at 9:30am at the firehouse. Watch our membership at work, practicing the skills needed to continue to serve our community and have your questions about joining answered by our Officers!

You've always wondered, what does it take? What training is involved? What's the time commitment? Who is needed? Now is the time to find out for yourself, just how important your volunteering with us can be.
