The fire service can be challenging, as well as rewarding. I believe that no matter how long you are a member (and I have been a member since 1968), you can never say, "I have seen it all!" While many alarms are routine, eventually you use your training and skills to cope with a situation that you have not encountered before. |

Halesite's Very Merry Weekend 12/2 - 12/4

Halesite's Annual Christmas Tree sale starts this Friday 12/2/22 at Noon and will continue through the weekend to Sunday 12/4/22 or as trees last. The sale returns to the side of the firehouse, so you will see us in action when you're driving by! In addition to our beautiful Fraser Fir trees, there will be decorative wreaths and roping available along with our annual raffle. Free delivery is available for residents in the Halesite Fire District; all deliveries will be made outdoors only, we will be unable to enter your homes to assist with tree-set ups.
Our Ladies Auxiliary traditionally collects toys throughout the month of December to benefit The Family Service League's "Project TOY". There will be a donation box at the tree sale; donations of NEW, UNWRAPPED to can be dropped off at the registers. Gift cards are gratefully accepted as well, 12-16 year olds can get forgotten in the toy donation process. Gifts will continue to be accepted in the lobby of the firehouse until Wednesday 12/14/22. They are also continuously collecting donations of non-perishable food items to assist our neighbors in need during the holiday season. Be sure to stop by their table at the tree sale to treat yourself to their yummy homemade baked goods and cozy hot chocolate!
On Sunday 12/4/22, we invite all the families in the District with children 13 and under to join us for our Annual Kids Holiday Party at 10:30am. There will be light refreshments, a reptile show, and a visit from Santa. All attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift card to be donated to the Family Service League's "Project TOY" drive.
