Blood Drive Friday 1/6/23

The Halesite Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting the Long Island Blood Service early in the New Year as blood shortages are still at critical lows. Please join us FRIDAY January 6th 2023 from 3:30pm - 8:00pm, to donate blood.

Both the Department and the Long Island Blood Services will be taking extra measures to ensure donor safety and health.
-All donors should park in the public lot at the rear of the firehouse.
-Please visit our donation appointment scheduler at https://donate.nybc.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/299091'
to reserve your time slot now. Walk-ins will be accommodated when possible.
-Our Ladies Auxiliary and the Blood Services staff will be sanitizing surfaces regularly to ensure all our guests health and safety.

You must have your photo ID on you, and be prepared to spend about 30-45 minutes in the donation process.

DONORS PRESENTING:
-Must be 17 years of age or older (16 with parental consent), and weigh at least 110 pounds
-Must show valid photo identification
-Drink plenty of fluids before donating. Donors who only give platelets may not take aspirin, or products containing aspirin, for 48 hours prior to donating.
