Frank Stalzer Honored as Halesite's 2009 Rookie of the Year
Saturday, May 15, 2010
Firefighter Frank Stalzer was honored by the Halesite Fire Department as its Rookie of the Year for 2009 at the department's annual dinner on May 15, 2010.
Halesite's Rookie of the Year is an award given to new members who go above and beyond the duties required of them. Stalzer, who joined the department in mid-2009, exceeded his minimum standards for the entire year, including completion of the Firefighter 1 training class. He was among Halesite's top responders during the year and someone who constantly displayed a positive and enthusiastic attitude, no matter what job he was asked to do.
Since receiving the award, Stalzer has gone on to earn his EMT-D certification and continues to be one of Halesite's most active members.
