2010 Open House a Success

Chief Andy Magerle of the Halesite Fire House pronounced its 2010 Open House a success last night despite the chilly air and light rain. Over 100 residents and their children came by the firehouse to see live demonstrations and even get the chance to spray water through a fire extinguisher and put out real fire.

The event was organized by Lieutenant Erik Weber of the Hook & Ladder Company. Pictured at right, Lt. Weber directs a member of the Cub Scouts in extinguishing a fire using a water can.
