"Buddy the Elf" Appears in Huntington's Holiday Parade

Members of the Halesite Fire Department and their families were delighted to participate in the 1st Annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting last evening, November 27, 2010, in Huntington Village. Halesite joined neighboring fire departments in a procession of holiday floats and apparatus decked out in seasonal lighting.
Halesite's float featured the original sleigh used in the 2003 hit movie "Elf", recently renovated by Ex-Chief Peter Wilbur and Craig Lanigan. Playing the lead role of "Buddy the Elf" was Commissioner Larry Northcote, pictured above with local elves. Additional photos can be found above in the Gallery section of our website.
Special thanks to Chief Andy Magerle, Ex-Chief Frank Grasso, Ex-Chief Kurt Martin, Captain Bill Eletto, Captain Jamie Magerle, Jerry Conlon, Joe DeSimone and Mike Colonna for all of their efforts in getting Halesite ready to appear in the parade.
