Halesite Swears in New Officers for 2011

The Halesite Fire Department held its annual Installation Dinner this past Saturday at the Harbor Club in Halesite, NY. Sworn in were the Department's Chief Officers, Department Officers and Line Officers. Below are Halesite's office holders for 2011:

Hose Company Captain - Chris Chuisano Lieutenant - Tom Holly

Hook & Ladder Company Captain - Jamie Magerle Lieutenant - Erik Weber
Rescue Squad Captain - Jamie Spear 1st Lieutenant - Keith Freda 2nd Lieutenant - Jesse Sammis
In remarks following his swearing in, Chief Andy Magerle thanked the members and their familes for their dedication and sacrifice:
"Everyone's lives are extremely busy and complicated, yet no matter how hectic things get, we find time to volunteer our services. The one thing that hasn't changed over the years here in Halesite is the devotion and drive it takes to be a volunteer firefighter. Thank you for your unrelenting service to the department."
After the swearing in ceremony, emceed by Ex-Chief Mike Magerle, more than 100 members and their guests enjoyed dinner and dancing in the company of Chief Officers from neighboring Fire Departments, members of the Ladies Auxiliary and several of the Department's many friends.
