Halesite's Hook & Ladder Company the 2010 Company of the Year

Halesite's Hook & Ladder Company was named the Department's 2010 Company of the Year in a ceremony at the Harbor Club on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Company of the Year is a relatively new award that is intended to recognize one of Halesite's three Companies that rises above the rest.

Halesite's Hook & Ladder Company in 2010 had the 2nd highest average hours per member volunteered among the three Companies. It had the greatest percentage of members who met the Department's Minimum Standards guidelines. But, most importantly, the Hook & Ladder Company made the difficult decisions that are sometime needed to grow the Company anew.

The prior two recipients of Halesite's Company of the Year award were the Hose Rescue Company.
